How observant are we with our thoughts that translate into our words and behaviors? Our beliefs and thoughts play a huge role on how we act. Negative thoughts during pregnancy effect the health of mother and baby equally. Our actions reflect on how we act around others, including our little ones.
If we take a moment and reflect, how much of our actions is driven by a negative belief, that we might not even know how it began. Anxiousness lurking at the back of my mind. Making breaking out of a negative pattern difficult, because it is driven by a negative thought which triggers a negative action.
For example, our ‘belief’ of not being a good mother, or not doing enough, leads our behavior to support that belief; which in turn brings our behavior to reflect our reality, and in the end supporting the initial negative belief of not being a good mother.
Which is why, it is important for us all, and especially as mothers, to be aware and mindful of what we allow our mind to think. We need to be able to stop or limit our negative thoughts to avoid them seeping into our behaviors. Not only for our own wellbeing, but also to align our thoughts and actions with the message we want to send to our little ones who are constantly looking up to us.
